The
Academy Offers the Whole Range of Simulator Training
From September 2006 shipping, crewing companies and their seafarers
can obtain the whole range of simulator training required for certification.
It became possible after signing agreement between AMSMA and St Petersburg
Maritime College owning a coastal training centre operating on its basis
approved by the Russian Maritime Administration.
Currently AMSMA and College are undergoing a gradual merger in the
framework of the maritime education reform and respective government
regulation. The agreement provides training on the basics of survival,
firefighting, usage of lifeboats and life rafts according to the requirements
of Chapter VI of STCW code on substantially favorable terms.
Similarly Maritime College can use Academy's simulators for training
their clients. Project implementation will lead to establishment of
the biggest training centre for maritime specialists in St Petersburg
combining technological, personnel and financial resources of the two
oldest maritime educational institutions.
