has won the tender for training and upgrading training of State Small-tonnage
Vessels Inspection inspectors
Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy has won the tender to conduct
practical training for inspectors of State Small-tonnage Vessels Inspection,
which is responsible to the Russian Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergency
Measures and Natural Disaster Response (MEM).
On the 17th of February, 2006 appropriate certificates considering
successful completion of training were obtained by 26 North-West Federal
District inspectors.
The training is held in accordance with the Regulations concerning
SSVI in the framework of regular up-grading courses system intended
for specialists responsible for small-tonnage vessels registration,
control and certification of small-tonnage vessel navigators in Russian
regions. Makarov Training Centre providing the simulator base for practical
training of inspectors carries out this work jointly with the All-Russia
Research Institute for Fire Protection and St-Petersburg SSVI.
The total training of 500 Russian state inspectors is planned for 2006.
