Technologies of AMSMA are expanding in Southeast Asia
Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy participated in the annual Lloyd's "Manning and Training" conference held on November 23-24, 2005 in the Philippines. Together with "Onyx Marine" and "MarinServIT" AMSMA introduced the "Delta - test" software testing environment, which engaged participants of the conference.
"Delta - test" Software Package is intended for knowledge evaluation of seafarers and students, for maritime qualification commissions, coastal training centers, training ships, educational institutions, shipping and crewing companies. The examination procedure is runned through computer testing in accordance with international and national qualification standards.
At present the Makarov Training Centre completes the development of databases for new products: "Delta - Rating" (examination of sailors and motormen), "Delta - VTMS" (preliminary testing and total certification of VTMS operators) and "Delta - Electric" (testing marine electrical engineers of 1-3 classes), besides existing "Delta - GMDSS", "Delta - Navigator", "Delta - Engineer", "Delta - Tanker", "Delta - ISPS" and "Delta - Safety".
At the moment "Delta test" software package is used at more than 60 educational institutions, training centres, harbour masters offices and provides examination of Merchant Marine Officers on all aspects of training required by the STCW-78/95 International Convention.
