ISM Code Trainig
In accordance with provisions of the IACS Procedural Guidelines for ISM Code Certification, Makarov Training Center carries out ISM Code training courses for different categories of specialists involved into the process of ISM Code implementation.
These courses are conducted under the patronage of Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) and aimed at training of:
1) external ISM Code auditors for RMRS's inspectors;
2) internal Safety Management System (SMS) auditors for both ship and shore managerial staff of shipping companies;
3) shipboard personnel (captains, chief officers, chief engineers, second engineers) for effective operating and maintaining the ship's SMS.
The course for training external ISM Code auditors is ordered by RMRS for its inspectors.
After finishing the course of internal SMS Auditors training, trainees receive certificates "Internal SMS Auditor" issued by RMRS and are ready to conduct internal Shipping Company SMS audits in accordance with the requirements of ISM Code.
The Course Program for shipboard personnel is based on use of the PC simulator of Shipping Company's Safety Management System
After successful passing of the final exam, each trainee receives the certificate issued by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
